Terms & Conditions

Last updated: November 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply when you purchase a course, programme or other service from LYNG Agency.

We have tried to keep them understandable. If you have any questions before booking, you are always welcome to contact us at hello@lyngagency.dk.

1. About LYNG

LYNG Agency provides courses, leadership development, facilitation and consulting services for individuals and organisations.

LYNG Agency is currently in the process of being formally registered as a legal entity in Denmark. These Terms & Conditions will be updated with our registered company name, address and CVR number once registration is complete.

OPEN COURSES

2. Booking a course

Your place on a LYNG open course is confirmed when your booking has been completed and you have received confirmation from us.

The price, dates, location, language and any other important information about the course will be stated on the relevant course page or during the booking process.

Unless otherwise stated, prices shown to consumers include VAT where VAT is applicable.

For organisations purchasing places for employees, prices and VAT will be stated in the relevant booking information, invoice or agreement.

3. Cancellation by the participant

We understand that plans change.

At the same time, our courses are deliberately kept relatively small. When you book a place, we reserve that place for you and make financial commitments based on the number of participants attending.

For that reason, the following cancellation policy applies:

More than 30 days before the first day of the course:
You can cancel your place and receive a 90% refund of the amount paid. LYNG retains 10% to cover administration, payment costs and the reservation of your place.

Between 15 and 30 days before the first day of the course:
You can cancel your place and receive a 50% refund of the amount paid.

14 days or less before the first day of the course:
The booking is non-refundable.

Cancellation must be sent in writing to hello@lyngagency.dk.

The date on which we receive your cancellation determines which cancellation period applies.

4. Send someone else instead

If you cannot attend, you are welcome to transfer your place to another person at no additional charge.

Please let us know at hello@lyngagency.dk before the course begins so that we have the correct participant information.

For programmes with specific admission requirements or where previous modules are required, the replacement participant must meet those requirements.

We would much rather have someone use the place than leave a chair empty.

5. Multi-module programmes

Some LYNG programmes consist of several modules delivered over a longer period.

Unless otherwise stated when booking, registration is for the full programme, rather than for each individual module.

The cancellation deadlines are calculated from the first day of the first module.

Once the programme has begun, the remaining modules are non-refundable.

If you are unable to attend an individual module, contact us. Where practically possible, we may offer an opportunity to attend the same module on a later programme, but we cannot guarantee that another date will be available.

6. Right of withdrawal

Some consumer purchases made online normally include a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal.

However, Danish consumer law contains exceptions for certain services connected with leisure activities where the agreement specifies a particular date or period.

LYNG's open courses are normally sold for specific dates and places. Where the statutory exception applies, there is no separate 14-day right of withdrawal after booking.

Instead, the cancellation conditions described above apply.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any mandatory consumer rights that apply to your particular purchase.

IF LYNG CHANGES OR CANCELS A COURSE

7. If LYNG cancels a course

Occasionally, we may need to cancel a course.

This could happen, for example, because there are too few participants to create a meaningful learning experience, because a facilitator becomes unavailable due to illness, or because circumstances outside our reasonable control make it impossible to run the course as planned.

If LYNG cancels the course entirely, you can choose between:

  • a full refund of the course fee you paid, or

  • transferring the full amount to another available LYNG course.

If you choose a refund, we will return the course fee using the original payment method where reasonably possible.

LYNG is not responsible for separate expenses you may have incurred in connection with attending the course, such as travel, accommodation, meals or lost working time, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.

For this reason, we recommend booking flexible or refundable travel and accommodation where possible.

8. If LYNG changes the date

Sometimes circumstances may require us to move a course to another date.

If we make a significant change to the course dates and you cannot attend the new dates, you may choose between:

  • transferring your booking to another available LYNG course,

  • receiving credit for the full amount paid to use for a future LYNG course, or

  • receiving a full refund of the course fee.

We will communicate significant changes as early as reasonably possible.

9. Changes to facilitators, venue or programme

Learning experiences involve people, and occasionally things change.

LYNG may make reasonable changes to facilitators, venues, schedules, exercises or individual elements of a programme where necessary.

We will only do this where the overall purpose, quality and character of the course remain substantially the same.

A minor change of facilitator, venue, schedule or course content does not in itself give a right to a refund.

If we make a change that fundamentally alters the course you purchased, we will offer you an appropriate alternative or refund.

COURSES AND CONSULTING FOR ORGANISATIONS

10. Organisation-specific programmes

Courses, workshops, facilitation and consulting designed specifically for an organisation are different from places purchased on our open courses.

The scope, price, payment schedule, dates, cancellation conditions and deliverables for these engagements will normally be set out in a separate proposal, agreement or statement of work.

Where a separate written agreement exists, that agreement takes precedence over these general Terms & Conditions if there is a conflict.

11. Cancellation by an organisation

Unless different cancellation conditions have been agreed in writing, the following applies to organisation-specific courses, workshops and facilitation:

More than 30 days before delivery:
LYNG may invoice or retain 25% of the agreed fee.

Between 15 and 30 days before delivery:
LYNG may invoice or retain 50% of the agreed fee.

14 days or less before delivery:
100% of the agreed fee is payable.

These amounts reflect that organisation-specific work may involve preparation, programme design, facilitator commitments and dates being reserved exclusively for the client.

Any non-refundable external costs already incurred by LYNG specifically for the engagement may also be charged where this has been agreed or reasonably incurred for delivery of the project.

Where possible, we will try to find a new date rather than cancel the engagement entirely.

PAYMENT

12. Prices and payment

The applicable price will be shown when you book or stated in your proposal, contract or invoice.

Payment deadlines will be stated during checkout or on the relevant invoice.

A place on an open course is not guaranteed until the booking has been confirmed.

For organisation-specific work, LYNG may require an advance payment or deposit before beginning preparation or reserving dates.

13. Discount codes

Discount codes must be used at the time of booking unless otherwise stated.

Discounts cannot normally be applied retrospectively and cannot be exchanged for cash.

If a booking made using a discount is eligible for a refund, the refund is calculated from the amount actually paid rather than the standard course price.

PARTICIPATION

14. Your responsibility as a participant

LYNG courses are participatory learning experiences.

We ask participants to contribute to creating a respectful learning environment and to treat other participants, facilitators and staff appropriately.

We reserve the right to ask someone to leave a course in cases of seriously disruptive, threatening, discriminatory or otherwise unacceptable behaviour.

Where a participant is removed for serious misconduct, the course fee will normally not be refunded.

15. Course materials

Unless otherwise stated, materials developed and provided by LYNG remain the intellectual property of LYNG or the relevant creator.

You are welcome to use course materials for your own learning and internal professional practice.

You may not reproduce, sell, publish, distribute or use substantial parts of LYNG's course materials to deliver your own commercial training or consulting products without prior written permission.

16. Photography and recordings

We may occasionally wish to take photographs or recordings during a course.

Where images or recordings identify individual participants and are intended for marketing or public communication, we will seek appropriate permission.

Participants may not record other participants' personal contributions or discussions without their permission.

17. Personal data

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Information about cookies and tracking technologies is also available through the cookie preferences on our website.

GENERAL TERMS

18. Circumstances outside our control

Sometimes events happen that neither LYNG nor the participant could reasonably control.

These may include serious illness, extreme weather, natural disasters, epidemics, strikes, government restrictions, war, civil unrest, major transport disruption or other comparable circumstances.

If such circumstances prevent us from delivering a course as planned, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule, relocate or otherwise provide the course.

Your statutory rights are not affected by this clause.

19. Liability

LYNG is responsible for providing its courses and services with reasonable professional care.

Our courses provide learning, methods, perspectives and opportunities for reflection. We cannot guarantee particular personal, professional, organisational or financial results from participating in a course or using the approaches discussed.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

20. Complaints

If something hasn't gone as expected, please contact us first.

We would rather have the conversation and try to solve the problem.

hello@lyngagency.dk

Consumers may also have the right to use the relevant Danish consumer complaints system where the legal requirements for doing so are met.

21. Danish law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Danish law.

For consumers, this does not remove any mandatory consumer protection you may have under applicable law.

22. Changes to these Terms & Conditions

We may update these Terms & Conditions when our services, business or applicable legal requirements change.

The terms that applied when you made your booking or entered into an agreement with LYNG will continue to govern that purchase unless we agree otherwise with you.

The date at the top of this page shows when these Terms & Conditions were last updated.
